Weather & the Unhoused

Head to our Instagram to see a clip of the one and only Teody explaining the outcome of the recent, harsh weather and how it affected his general area. Teody isn’t the only person who has been heavily impacted; another unhoused neighbor’s DIY fort had its roof + wall strip away. Although multiple tarps were tied down, it wasn't enough.

These two incidents were just a glimpse of what is happening to thousands of people without shelter in the Bay Area. The harsh winds and rain may not be much of a bother to those who have proper housing; meanwhile, many people living on the streets are subjected to uninhabitable living conditions.

To the left is a drawing done by one of our local unhoused community members; it took him a week of dedication to create this beautiful piece! He mentioned that it’s something he likes to do everyday to keep in a positive state of mind. Art is one of the natural sources that he is able to control in life🖤
